After discussion at the 2011 AGM it was decided that for the start of the 2012 season we would operate a new handicapping system based on a formula laid down by the English Golf Union. This system would be operated on a 2 year trial basis but that we would continue with an annual review of members handicaps. For the following season a member would play off the HIGHER of either a members actual h'cap at the seasons conclusion or his h'cap based on the best 3 scores achieved during a 2 year period. As the previous two systems were flawed it was also agreed to increase every members handicap by 0.5 to go some way to bringing it line with their true handicap.
